On 26 September 2019, a technology meeting of IXTENT, whose guest of honor was the renowned economist Vladimír Pikora, was held in the beautiful premises of the Canadian Embassy in Prague. The event was kindly supported by the Embassy of Canada in the Czech Republic, also under the auspices of the Canadian Chamber of Commerce.
The meeting was opened this time by the Commercial Council of the Embassy – Peter Stulken – as the new Ambassador has not yet been officially appointed. Jiří Krejča, President of the Canadian Chamber of Commerce, also welcomed the guests.
The first speaker on the topic of Industry 4.0 was the much-anticipated economist, commentator, publicist, writer and broker Vladimír Pikora. His striking presentation on the theme of the 4th industrial revolution was devoured by the audience. In his own meticulous style, he presented his prognosis of the upcoming changes in the economy, their impact on the organization of work in companies, and the pitfalls that ordinary people will have to face in the coming years.
The topic of Industry 4.0 was further expanded on by Martin Vogel, Senior Principal Solution Consultant of the Canadian software company OpenText, the world’s leading DMS/ECM solution, who explained to the guests how important it is to digitize corporate content and what this transformation will bring them.
Real examples of the use of a document management system in banking and legal sectors were presented by IXTENT, the only OpenText Gold partner in the entire CEE region.
The inspiring meeting ended with a rich buffet and tasting of food from the land of the maple leaf, which provided a pleasant atmosphere for subsequent debate and networking.
We thank our many guests for their participation, and we believe that they gained inspiration for paperless processes inside their companies.
Will we see you next year at the embassy as well?
