About the customer

Philip Morris ČR a.s. is the largest producer and retailer of tobacco products and distributor of non-burning HEETS, IQOS and related accessories in the Czech Republic. The company has been operating since 1992 and employs more than a thousand people. For over 27 years it has contributed to various charity projects, including those that include support for social programs aimed at improving living conditions in local communities. The company is part of the global group Philip Morris International Inc.

Initial situation

The customer processes data messages in Sharepoint 2010, which IXTENT customized with keys making it easier to perform certain operations that are not part of the standard system (such as sending messages, transferring tasks to certain persons or departments).

Philip Morris ČR a.s. also uses a functional extension of the system for user-friendly administration of data boxes – IXTENT ISDS Connector. This data mailbox connector is a comprehensive solution for receiving, sending, and managing messages in data mailboxes, as well as integrating them into enterprise information systems of all types. It provides you with full control over data mailbox messages, and there is no risk of a delay in their processing.

About the project

Philip Morris ČR a.s. decided to upgrade SharePoint to a newer supported version, specifically SharePoint 2013. The project was implemented without any complications between the end of January and start of February 2019.
