Walmark, a.s. is a Czech company now operating branches in eight European Countries (Czech Republic, Slovakia, Poland, Romania, Hungary, Ukraine, Latvia and Bulgaria) and exports its products to over 20 other countries via local distributors. It is a market leader with food supplements in the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Romania and Bulgaria.
Turnover for the whole group of Walmark companies totalled 2997 million Czech crowns in the 2005 business year (a transition period lasting 17 months from 1.1.2005 – 31.5.2006 with a total of 900 employees.
Solution
Walmark, a.s., the prominent central-European manufacturer and distributor of medicines and food supplements has opted for central sophisticated administration for regulated documents and registration documentation with the help of integrated Enterprise Content Management (ECM) solutions.
The solution aims to cover the typical field of needs for pharmaceuticals companies, which must ensure the administration and demonstrability of a large number of documents regulated by law, which serve to protect the consumer. These regulations are valid for the full life cycle of pharmaceutical products, i.e. from the development stage through to the registration, manufacturer and distribution.
Walmark, via the IXTENT solutions, primarily covers the processes for the registration of medicines and supplements and also evidencing agreements with legislation including managing the quality system and controls.
IXTENT s.r.o. will implement these solutions using ECM products on the Livelink platform from the Open Text Corporation for Content Lifecycle Management, Document Management, Regulated Documents Management and the creation of electronic registration for medicine documentation (Collaborative Submissions).
