Today, companies must work with data boxes – it is a legal obligation and an integral part of communication with authorities. The problem does not arise with the data boxes themselves, but when an organization has dozens or hundreds of them, involving various users, processes, and systems. Manually downloading messages, forwarding attachments, tracking who did what…
All of this takes time and creates unnecessary risks.
That is why IXTENT ISDS Connector was created – a tool that automates work with data boxes.
Reports are automatically:
- downloaded,
- filed with documents,
- transferred to the appropriate system (DMS / workflow / SAP / …),
- and the entire process is traceable.
Since its launch, the product has undergone significant development – not only in terms of functionality, but also in terms of security, performance, and ease of administration. Over the past few years, we have invested a great deal of effort into development and responded to legislative changes, technological developments, and customer feedback.
As a result, IXTENT ISDS Connector now offers a much wider range of options than ever before.
The most significant changes in recent years:
2025
- Modern authentication for SMTP server – support for OAuth2 authentication to Exchange Online (currently in development).
- Complete redesign of web services – new web services offer easier integration options and greater robustness.
- Option to download specific data messages – users can download specific messages as needed.
2024
- Full support for large data messages (VoDZ) – the system allows you to download and send large messages, including working with attachments.
- New SQL upload provider – expanded integration options for MS SQL Server thanks to a new provider for sending data messages.
- Critical hotfixes and ZFO decoding adjustments – the transition to the BouncyCastle cryptographic library has brought major performance improvements (over 10x faster processing of larger data messages).
2023
- Support for ZIP and ASiC attachments in data messages – option to send data messages with these types of attachments in accordance with new ISDS requirements.
- Support for proxy authentication – option to use an authenticated anonymous connection to a proxy server.
- New Document Pipeline provider – enables integration with the OpenText platform and other systems.
2022
- Support for postal data messages – postal data messages can now be sent through certain providers.
- Regular component and service updates – ensuring compatibility and security through library and ISDS service updates.
- Fixes and optimizations – several improvements to increase the stability and reliability of the solution in connection with changes in ISDS.
2021
- Version 5 – complete product redesign – new architecture enables faster development, greater robustness, and easier expandability.
- New authentication options – added support for logging into ISDS using a user certificate or a hosted file service certificate.
- Significant improvements in configuration and administration – new settings options, more modern web administration, and more detailed logs for faster troubleshooting.
In recent years, ISDS Connector has become a robust tool that can handle operations with one or hundreds of mailboxes within the company. It automates routines, reduces the risk of errors, and allows you to have full control over the process. If working with data mailboxes takes up too much of your team’s time or energy, it may be time to consider automation. We would be happy to go over your scenario with you and show you how ISDS Connector can work in your environment.
