The consulting company IXTENT®, a specialist in ECM (Enterprise Content Management) solutions in Central and Eastern Europe, has been recommended by the Open Text Corporation and by SAP Slovensko s.r.o. as one of the partners during the conversion to the Euro for the archivation of historical data from the SAP system.
Already on January 1, 2009, the Euro will become the national currency in Slovakia and will be used in all non-cash and cash transactions. SAP Slovensko s.r.o. is reacting to this development and is providing support for its Slovak clients during the conversion of the local currency as part of the System Landscape Optimization (SLO) service. Among other things, this project recommends to existing customers the necessary steps for a successful conversion of the SAP system to the Euro, among which, especially in the first phase, is the secure archivation of historical data in the national currency. Such an approach has been confirmed in many European countries during the past years.
In order to minimize the impacts of the currency changes to the information systems and to maintain compliance with legislation, IXTENT Slovakia s.r.o. is providing a solution to data archivation from the SAP enterprise system.
A part of the solution is also a special tool for the analysis of the SAP database, which significantly simplifies the decision making during the project preparation phase, respectively it narrows the extent of the archivation to only relevant data.
IXTENT is a certified specialist in the area of the management of documents and data, including archivation systems. It uses the Open Text (formerly also IXOS) tools, officially supported by SAP, for its solutions.
