As a long-term partner of the Canadian company OpenText, IXTENT participated in the Canada Days held in Ostrava.
The Canada Days in the Moravian-Silesian Region were organised in the framework of Canada’s 150th anniversary of Confederation. The opening ceremony took place at the Hotel Imperial on 20 November and was attended by HE Barbara C. Richardson as well as by representatives of the host cities from the Moravian-Silesian Region and other partners and supporters of the event.
The event continued in its second day with a business and investment forum held at the hall of the Technical University in Olomouc. In the business part, the participating companies had the opportunity to present themselves either at their stands or by delivering a lecture. IXTENT, the only GOLD partner of OpenText on the Czech market, was presented in the block of lectures. Other entities such as the Chamber of Commerce of the Moravian-Silesian Region, the Chamber of Commerce of the District of Opava, Czechinvest, Czechtrade etc. were introduced as well.
In the investment forum, lectures were delivered by the ambassador of Canada, HE Barbara C. Richardson, the president of the Canadian Chamber of Commerce in the Czech Republic, the Trade Commissioner of the Embassy of Canada to the Czech Republic, the Commercial Counsellor of the Embassy of Canada to the Czech Republic and a representative of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Czech Republic.
IXTENT took advantage of the special opportunity to meet the representatives of the Embassy in an informal manner, to establish business co-operation with the representatives of the participating companies and last, but not least, to attract potential employees from among students of technical fields.
