The technical conference OpenText – Enterprise World 2019, the digital world’s event of the year in the field of document management and business process management, took place between 12 and 14 March 2019 in Vienna. OpenText’s solution is the market leader according to surveys conducted by analytical companies such as Gartner and Forrester. Its platform is used by 120,000 satisfied customers, which OpenText services through 1,200 competent partners. One of these is the Czech company IXTENT, which has a 15-year tradition on the market and is the only company in the Czech Republic and Slovakia to be a Gold Partner of OpenText. IXTENT was a sponsor of the conference, as well as an exhibitor with a team of business representatives and consultants ready to answer questions from potential customers.
The first day of the meeting took place at the Austria Center Partner Day, and consisted of regional information for OpenText’s partners. The program for the public began with a welcome reception at the beautiful Hofburg Palace in the center of Vienna, which was the residence of the Houses of Habsburg and Habsburg-Lorraine until 1918. Since 1945, Hofburg has been the seat of the President of Austria, as well as the Austrian National Library and several museums. The evening opened with a performance by the Vienna Boys’ Choir, whose current music director is Gerald Wirth. The choir has been performing since 1498, when it was established by the Holy Roman Emperor Maximilian I.
Prominent representatives of OpenText at the event included Mark J. Barrenechea, Vice-President, Director and Technical Director of OpenText, who presented company news, industry trends and the strategic view of the future. In addition, Muhi Majzoub, Executive Vice President and Head of the Engineering and Cloud Services department, gave a lecture about the value of OpenText products for business and marketing. Several interesting lectures were presented at the technical conference, and it was possible to choose from various workshops based on particular preferences, see examples of technical implementations, take part in inspiring conversations, participate in networking, and listen to examples of the successful implementation of software solutions at world-famous companies.
