IBM is the world’s largest provider of information technology solutions and services with long tradition of innovations. The first branch of IBM in the Czech Republic was founded as far back as 1932 as the first branch in Central and Eastern Europe and the sixth in Europe. IBM’s activities in the Czech Republic include in particular the sales of a broad spectrum of IT technologies from servers and systems, to data storage, to software and IT services including consulting.
IBM’s primary objectives include the provision of complex system integration services and promotion of electronic trade benefits into companies’ everyday lives. IBM’s integral strategy also includes corporate social responsibility programs through which IBM contributes to the resolution of today’s environmental and social problems. From the perspective of its business turnover, comprehensiveness of its offering, or number of employees, IBM has achieved the same position in the Czech environment as its parent company has worldwide.
